Artist's Comments
This illustration sorta formed over time, evolving as it went. I started knowing the title, "Here Be Monkeys" which is a play on Here be Dragons, and the idea of all the characters playing on the monkey bars.
Afterwords i came up with Kate's shirt, which would only come in handy in a situation such as this, but whatever. I wanted to come up with "monkey-ish" stuff for the rest to be doing, so the title would make sense. Next came the theme of The Three Wise Monkeys better known for their actions of "See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil". So here's the finished product. enjoy! |
